Prayers for Julia

#1

My dear friends Tom and Lynn are asking for prayers for their young daughter Julia. We just saw her this past week and she seemed perfectly fine. Julia began bleeding and continued to do so heavily for a few days for some unknown reason. After they brought her in, she lost half of her blood and needed to receive over 4 pints at the hospital. They finally managed to stabilize her condition this evening. Tomorrow she undergoes a battery of tests to see what is happening. Please pray for her and her family. Tom, Lynn and their children have a deep faith in Jesus and are really calling out for help from their family in Christ for prayers.

Thank you!

I can only imagine how distressed Julia’s parents are with this scary development.
I’ll certainly keep them and Julia in my prayers.
Dear Lord please let the problem become clear, and ensure that everything is done to ensure Julia’s recovery. Please give peace to her parents.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death. Amen

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy;
our life, our sweetness and our hope. To
thee do we cry, poor banished children of
Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine
eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our
exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy
womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving, O sweet
Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of
God that we may be made worthy of the
promises of Christ. Amen.

Thank you all very much. Here is an update from Julia’s father, Tom:

Thanks so much all for your prayers. Julia had another transfusion today and will have an ultrasound tomorrow. She’s feeling better and the bleeding has stopped. In my initial hysteria I thought incorrectly that because her blood count (CRT) was 15 when it should have been over 35, she had lost half her blood. My mistake. She is getting better, each minute, so I’m hoping to get her home by her 12th birthday Monday.
Again, thanks for storming heaven with your prayers. We are so grateful.

God bless,
Tom

They’re still testing to find out the cause - but we’re cautiously optimistic. Thank you all for your prayers.

God bless!

I just received a call from Tom this morning - he’s driving to pick up Julia and Lynn at Boston Children’s Hospital and bring them home. The bleeding has resolved itself and the doctors aren’t sure exactly why or what happened. All the tests have come back fine and there is no evidence of any remaining physical issues. Thank you all very much for your prayers. Tom and Lynn are deeply grateful (as am I).

God bless!
