Prayers for our Father John

#1

I am lifting up our priest for prayer as he is ill. They think it may be his gallbladder. We are in the Madison diocese wisconsin.
I pray that he is healed and can come back to us. and be rested and his very dedicated life as a priest.
Our Father
Who art in Heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name
Thy kingdom Come
Thy will be done
On Earth
As it is in Heaven
Give us this Day
Our daily Bread
And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debters
And lead us not into Temptation
Deliver us from evil
For thine is the Kingdom
The Power
The Glory
Forever now
Amen

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help or sought thy intercession was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To thee do I come, before thee I kneel, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy
hear and answer them. Amen.

Father John has gotten some medical help now for a few months. He found out he has Willis disease, it is a liver problem. He retains too much fluid and has to get "tapped " have fluid taken out. He is on pills for that too. He can still be around and do a lot but has to cut back. Well he and we are glad he knows what is wrong. He has more than likely been bothered with the symptoms all his life. We still pray and thank everyone for the support of the CAF prayer warriors. He is only 52 but we want him to be around awhile so are trying to make life more less streneous for him.

God Bless you all
Thank you to the Virgin Mary and Jesus

Barbara, it’s good to know that your priest now has a diagnosis and knows how to manage his symptoms and his life. May God bless him, and help him to enjoy his resting times as the opportunities that God gives him to allow more time with Him.

Our God, please make it so!
Parish activities can be overwhelming, so You have given him a gift within his trial.

God bless you and your fellow parishioners for your derermination to give your priest more support.

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry, turn your ear to my prayer, no deceit is on my lips. Amen

For your intentions

Continued prayers……

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

I know it has been quite a while since I have replied to this thread. If any of the one posted here are receiving this reply I want to especially thank all for prayers. I am so thankful for a positive reply to make. The Lord did not take father John at this time he is still with us. Ither way God is wonderful. Father John had a liver transplant about 5 months ago and is now back with us full time. We are all so happy that this wonderful miracle has happened to us all. We pray he can still be at our parish and also pray for peace for him and God must still have work for him. Thanks to all prayer partners and the CAF as this has truly gone beyond space and time and reached the hearts and spirit of all. I can not even put into words all what happened to our parish, it was like a real cleansing and brought our cluster closer together. God has gone beyond and above. He came back on the Pentecost sunday, and we all felt like yes he returned and said I am still with you, not meaning he is above God but I think he realized what it is like to almost die. We had hope and prayer and the gift was more than I could expect. He said he prayed that he wanted to return to his people, us but I didn’t think God wanted him to stay. I even quit the CAF for awhile as I was too sad to write and had resigned my prayers only to our Church family. But you are all family too. Thank you as we reached out you reached back and touched our family. Our other priest in the cluster said a few times he was subbing, as many did, I said you are a blessing, truly a blessing. He said we are all a blessing together as touching 2 or more. All we can do as in God’s will, we started to pray that is when it changed. Oh well I have gone on long enough but no matter what had happened we praise Him for his will. Amen
thank you to Jesus and all the saints on CAF
Barbara

Praying in thanksgiving! :)

From today's Liturgy of the Hours:

Canticle Isaiah 61-62
The prophet rejoices over the new Jerusalem

The Lord has clothed me in the garments of salvation.
I will rejoice with joy in the Lord,
and my spirit shall be joyful in my God,
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation
and wrapped me round with the robe of justice,
like a bridegroom decked with a crown,
like a bride adorned with her jewels.
