Prayers for PeglegDeb (poster on CAF) -- Her mother committed suicide

#1

*Hi everyone;

I was talking with Deb, (aka peglegdeb) who started a thread in another section here, about the loss of her mother. Her mother who was a devout Catholic, took her own life last weekend, and as we can imagine, Deb is very distrought over it…not just over the loss of her mother, but also she is concerned about her mother’s soul, since she commited suicide.

We discussed a prayer intention thread, and she asked me to post this here for her. Could you please take the time to pray for Deb and her family, and for her mother’s soul?

I know that God’s mercy is unfathomable…it is hard for us to imagine it sometimes, but He is all merciful, and I know that He knows our states of minds and hearts. I pray that you do not despair and worry, Deb, over this…I pray for your peace of mind, that God’s loving mercy will envelope your mother.

I will include you and your mother in my Rosary from here on out. :gopray:*

Eternal rest grant unto PeglegDeb’s mother, O Lord. And let Your Perpetual Light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
Amen

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

I pray that God, in His infinite merciful way, will grant peace to Peg, her family, and most of all her mom.

Amen.

***Amen to that, also. ***

That is so sad. I have a cousin that commited suicide just a few years ago. :frowning:

I will pray hard for her and her mother!

#7

*Praying for your cousin, and family also, red.:frowning: It is such a shock, when something like this happens. We are praying for you, deb, and others who are trying to cope with the sadness of this in their own lives. *

Our Father, which art in Heaven
Hollowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven

Give us this day, our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us

Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil

Amen

Amen.

Debbie,

Your mother, you and your family will be remembered in my daily roasries, Masses and adorations. May you find comfort in knowing that God loves your mother more than anyone ever could.

In my deepest prayers. If her mother commited suicide I hope Deb realises that it’s highly probable the poor woman wasn’t thinking straight, Tell Deb I’ll keep her mother in my Masses for the rest of my life.
Please give Deb my love. I’m so sad she’s hurting so much
Lots of love to you, Deb
Your sister Trishie

Father of all mercies and God of all consolation,
you pursue us with untiring love
and dispel the shadow of death
with the bright dawn of life.
Give courage to this family in their loss and sorrow.
Be their refuge and strength, O Lord,
reassure them of your continuing love
and lift them from the depths of grief
into the peace and light of your presence.
Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,
by dying has destroyed our death,
and by rising, restored our life.
Your Holy Spirit, our comforter,
speaks for us in groans too deep for words.
Come alongside your people,
remind them of your eternal presence
and give them your comfort and strength.
Amen.

You are all so incredibly kind and your prayers and thoughtful words are appreciated more than you know. I thank God for somehow leading me here for I know I could not have found you all myself.
