Prayers for Resolve

#1

Please pray for my friend, Kevin, and all of the men I am working with who are suffering from Post Incarceration Syndrome. In the last few weeks, I have seen two men I knew returned to prison, and two who were killed while back in the “life” of crime. Two more have disappeared, which can only mean that they have relapsed, as well. That is six people who are lost to Gods love at this time.

A few make it, but there is little help, and with all the financial pressures, there is little time to investigate and become engaged in knowlegeable counseling. It is a solid, and incredibly sad fact that nearly 70% of incarcerated men will return to prison after their release, many of them for life.

Please pray for the few of us out here who work hard for them with little help, resources or encouragement. And also pray for those men who really try to work on themselves and whose struggles are denigrated and ignored because of their past sins.

We are desparate for prayers, especially after hearing such disheartening news.

PRAYER FOR
INNER STRENGTH

Lord Jesus Christ,
I’m upset and disturbed,
and I pray that You will grant me
the grace of inner Peace.
As You commanded the storm winds at sea to be calm,
command the storms in my life to be calmed.
Give me the patience I need
to cope with the burdens and anxieties of my life.
Grant me the strength to better deal with my problems,
and the understanding to be more tolerant
and kind to others.
Teach me to seek after Your will
which alone brings peace of mind
and peace of heart.

Amen.

Full of Grace,

and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.

I’m glad to hear from you.
I was wondering about you yesterday.

God bless you for your support and concern for Kevin and ex-prisoners.
Thank you for doing this valuable but difficult apostolate.

Thank you for asking our prayers for them and for sharing these sad statistics.

From now I’ll keep prisoners and ex-prisoners and those who work with them in my daily prayer…but also that more help will be given to those who ahve served their sentences and are at risk to offend again in their post-prison syndrome.

God bless you,
Trishie

Thanks to you all. I saw two more men today who were inside, and both are struggling.I would like to ask for your continued prayers for all of us, and for me to find a way to do more, and more efficiently. I don’t know how our society can overlook so many people. On just one WEBSIITE for familes of prisoners, there are over 300,000 members! This is a huge amount of people impacted by this problem. Thanks again and remember for today Kevin, Rudolpho, Jaison, Anthony and John, who are tryiing to do the right thing.God- help them.

They’re part of my family now, so will always be in my prayers.
God bless and give you resilience and courage to live in this vulnerable and often raw apostolate.

Bless you dear S

Our Mother, St. Michael the Archangel, their guardian angels and patron saints, please pray for prisoners and ex-prisoners, those who help the, and their loved ones.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners, now
and at the hour of our death. Amen

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent,
but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is love and mercy itself
