Prayers for the dead

#1

In general, but, two in particular.

One, my cousin’s wife. She was in her mid fifties. Was going to see her daughter (who is due any minute), but, had a heart attack at the airport. She was Baptist, loved Jesus very much as far as I know. Great woman. Sweet woman. Quiet woman. Please pray for her soul and all those who mourn her.

Also, was told by a friend that her friend’s husband’s uncle was killed…in prison. Same prayer for him (didn’t know him, and was unsure if this was even true, but, apparently it is.)

May God grant them mercy and perpetual light shine upon them.

…And, I just got a call from a former Prof who told me that ANOTHER FORMER Prof’s Wife died of a heart attack while they were in vacation in Lithuania. I know he is a Catholic Convert. She was probably, more than likely, Catholic. Please, same prayer for her, and for him. He is a great guy. Quiet guy. Fun teacher.

Praying for them and all involved…

My sympathy to your wife on the death of her cousin.
For her soul and the souls of the other two for whom you ask prayer:

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent,
but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is love and mercy itself

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death. Amen

Thank you for all the prayers, everybody!!

…But, it’s my cousin’s wife. Not mine. I am not married and I am female.
