Praying the Rosary...

I looked through the forum history and did not see this posted so, if I have just missed it, I apologize.

I will be traveling for business next week and have a 6 hour flight so, I wanted to spend some time during working on my prayer ritual. My question is, is it ok to pray the rosary silently to oneself (not verbalizing the words) or, must one pray verbally for it to be ok?

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Of course it’s acceptable. I frequently see the priests in our parish pacing round the garden with a rosary in their hands. Why would it need to be said out loud?

In fact, as it’s only a private devotion, there are no rules as such, only customs.

I thought that would be the response but, as I am currently not fully Catholic, I wanted to verify. Thank you!

Here is some info that may help.

Thank you Fred!

I have just started praying the Rosary. I feel so joyous everytime!

My only disappointment is that the fruits of the CC, rosary, saints I have been to blind to see until recently!

You are welcome. You made a good choice.

I have felt the same way. I have wasted so much of my life before coming home…
