Pregnant/nursing mothers and Lenten fasting/abstinence

I know that pregnant amd nursing moms are exempt from the discipline of Lenten fasting, but what about the Lenten abstinence from meat on Ash Wednesday and Fridays?

I have some nourishing foods that I can make to eat today, but I also have some leftovers that have chicken in it. I could pitch it out (it likely won’t stay good until tomorrow) and stick with meat-free foods but I just thought I would ask here to find out if the rule applies…

Thanks!

The ill, frail, pregnant, or nursing are excused from fast or abstinence according to the need for meat.

Thanks, 1ke!
