I just thought these sites would be of interest to the ladies on this forum.
Years ago, we were never allowed to wear Pants of any kind to church. (I never saw anyone back then wear pants.) We all wore a head covering of some kind also.
Yes I realize that over the years the “Dress Code” or “Accepted Dress Code” (or lack of dresses) has changed.
In general some people say, “Well times have changed.”
Yes they have…
The Bible is no longer in school,
Prayer is out of the schools,
Most Mom’s work out of the home’s,
Women want equal rights in all things.
Men (in general) aren’t the head of the household anymore.
Divorce Rate…is way up.
Lot’s of kids are raised by single parents
Dessing for our Lord in Church has changed. Look in any Cathoic Church today and how you see most men and women dressed, is the same as going to the Friday “Foot ball Game”. (is sad indeed.)
Yes, times have changed…
Just maybe there was something to wearing a Dress, (doesn’t/didn’t have to be fancy) and a head covering for our Lord, during Mass. Wonder what the Lord thinks about all the changes that have taken place, over time.
True the Catholic Church doesn’t have a “Dress Code”. So women (and men) are free to dress as they please.
