Protestant communion sin for Protestants

If a Protestant takes communion at a Protestant Church but doesn’t know that the Catholic Church is real/true/or even exists, is it a sin?

No, the question provides it’s own answer . Sin requires knowledge. Even if a Protestant does know the Catholic Church exists and takes Communion in their own Church they are not engaging in sin.

No…they would be invincibally ignorant.

So is something not a sin if you don’t know it is?
Thanks for the replies! God bless

Why would it be sinful for a Protestant to observe their own rituals?

–really, how could they be sinning?:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I think that would be a bit oversimplified. Rather, if you don’t know what you’re doing is a sin then your ignorance absolves you from guilt.
