Hey all, real quick question. I should know this, and its bugging me. But in certain prayers, the V and R before a sentence, what does that mean? Are we not supposed to say that particular line? Sorry, I should know this. For example:

V. The angel of the Lord announced unto Mary.
R. And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Thanks everyone! God Bless!

Versicle and response.

If you’re praying this in a group usually the person leading says the versicle and everyone says the response.

Ok, thank you! If your’e not praying in a group do you still say them?

I do. Otherwise you’d lose a good chunk of the prayer.

Haha yeah, thats what I thought. Thank you!
