Violence against Trump supporters is surging of late, so Breitbart News is updating its list of credibly reported hate crimes against Trump supporters since September 2015.

These reported crimes include physical assaults, vandalism, an actual murder, and encouraging violence against individuals and groups based only on their personal beliefs.

Sadly, these crimes have been approved and encouraged by the establishment media, either through the media’s open calls for violence against us or the media’s revealing and deafening indifference.

When the corporate media want to stop Americans from engaging in certain behavior — say, a rodeo clown wearing an Obama mask or a meme mocking CNN — the media launch jihads to destroy the individuals engaged in that behavior. . . .

. . . Please email jnolte@breitbart.com with any updates or anything you think deserves to be added to this list. Also, if you see errors — duplicate postings or events misinterpreted as bias crimes on Trump supporters, please let us know. Unlike the establishment media, we want this list accurate and fact-based.

  1. February 9, 2020: Man Arrested for Driving Car Through GOP Voter Registration Booth
  2. February 10, 2020: New Mexico GOP Headquarters Vandalized
  3. February 10, 2020: California GOP Headquarters Vandalized for Sixth Time in Two Years
  4. February 12, 2020: UC Santa Cruz College Republican Display Destroyed and Vandalized
  5. February 12, 2020: 14-Year-Old Boy Wearing Trump Hat Assaulted . . .

See the almost four hundred more incidences here. . . .

Nobody is more oppressed than supporters of the leader of the world’s dominant global superpower in their own country.

This is just another example of why Breitbart is not, in my opinion, news or journalism. Their criticism of journalism elsewhere is the highest level of hypocrisy.

To the readers here.

Look at the two prior comments.

More mere ad hominem, no critique of actual story elements.

This is a proverbial page out of Saul Alinsky’s book (that he dedicated to Lucifer).

Don’t be fooled by these methods of manipulation that Saul and his followers preach and give example of.

Hopefully these guys here are just doing this because they are effected (idea-wise) by the national leftists that propagate such silly argumentation templates (and no malice intended by them).

@Regular_Atheist and @pnewton. I would suggest if you have issues with the actual story, present them.

Then go to the actual story and read of the events.

If you can’t be bothered to check all 389 incidents cited in the article, maybe pick ten at random and report your findings here as to whether they’re legit or not. If there are alternate explanations on public sites, bring out the links.

The point being, if you aim to discredit Breitbart, you’ll have to do better than ad hominem attacks. Please have at it.

Ad homines?

Maybe, since the others are no different.

I don’t think they are oppressed. That’s something governments do, most notably socialist governments over the last century.
I also don’t think anyone is claiming oppression. Violent political attacks is the complaint.

Irony can be pretty ironic.

Guilt by association and logic fallacies do not require feeding click bait. I do not check it because they are not a business I, as a Catholic, would ever care to support. Of the one incident I was aware of, it was a crime and treated as such.

I am surprised that those Trump supporters weren’t carrying heat, especially in Dunnellon. Good job, DPD. He can sit his bum in the jail for awhile. I don’t mind my taxes used on people like Whitehurst.

Actually, in Marion County, it’s perfectly ok to be an open supporter of the President. The majority of the registered voters are Republicans. Our districts are gerrymandered Republican. And one of our state senator’s wrote the “Stand your Ground” law.

In other words, Whitehurst is pretty darn lucky he didn’t stare down a steel barrel when he pulled out his cane sword.

pnewton thinking clicking (and thereby “supporting” Breitbart) goes against his Catholic faith . . .

I do not check it because they are not a business I, as a Catholic, would ever care to support.

Aside from the potential Puritanical dimension of this disordered scrupulosity in society – not you per se, but society as a whole – (that influences all of us in society) . . .

. . . Look pnewton. If you think reading a Breitbart article is an attack on your Catholic faith, by all means obey your conscience and do not read Breitbart articles.

(But you keep showing up at these Breitbart stories that I post. That doesn’t bother me but it is perplexing. If they are so bad, why bother continuing with them even when not “supporting” them?)

I don’t see that @pnewton states or implied feelin attacked. I see a decision not to support.

Browsing on Breitbart earns money for Breitbart. If on doesn’t want to be involved in financially supporting Breitbart not clicking links to their articles is consistent with this decision.

It is called click bait for a reason. The OP was kind enough to post enough to see the direction of the article. But just thing of the headline. “The media” is approving of violence? Of hate? It is absurd on the face of it. It is typical boogeyman propaganda. And yes, I know the left does it as well.

The story has no point. Yes, there are people who hate the president, just as there was before. Yes, there are always people of violence. I tire of this grand conspiracy concept of the MSM, The Swamp, and “fake news.”

It’s why I keep comparing it to yellow press journalism. It seems to be that reinvented for another age. It is indeed tiresome junk that seem unable to work at any other level.

I fully expect to see in a short while stuff like, ‘JharekCarnelian thinks’ or similar. I’ve never read Saul Alinsky by the way.

ThinkingSapien (changing my premise and speaking on behalf of pnewton) . . .

I don’t see that @pnewton states or implied feelin attacked.

But I never said pnewton is feelin attacked.

I said if he thinks this . . .

I do not check it (Breitbart News) because they are not a business I, as a Catholic, would ever care to support.

My reply was this . . .

. . . Look pnewton. If you think reading a Breitbart article is an attack on your Catholic faith, by all means obey your conscience and do not read Breitbart articles.

Bold additions mine.

And I also said . . .

(But you keep showing up at these Breitbart stories that I post. That doesn’t bother me but it is perplexing. If they are so bad, why bother continuing with them even when not “supporting” them?)

These are high interest stories.

And the people who click on my posts to imply or just say how low-interest they are,
frequently are the first ones interested enough to show up and post.
