Re: Hebrews 4:15, could Jesus actually be tested?

Hebrews 4:15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin. I spoke with a preist this weekend who disagreed with Paul. He said Jesus could not have been tested in everyway. Is this accurate? Thank you and enjoy your day.

Dear Michael,

It depends on what one means by “tested.” If I test-dive a care, I am not really testing it. I’m trying it out. I’m experiencing what it is like. This is how Jesus was tested. He fully experienced human life. Other than sin, there was no part of human life that He did not experience. This is what the passage ir really saying.
