Reading Christian books by non-Catholic authors?

Hello everyone!

Long time Catholic answers fan, first time asking a question.

Whilst in the book shop I stumbled on an interesting book, “Evidence for Christianity” by Josh McDowell. While in the shops I read bits and pieces of it and found it interesting. So i bought it.

I just wanted to ask other devout Catholics like me advice on reading books on Jesus by non-catholic authors.

Any input would be appreciated
