Reading reports of the conclave election

I was surprised to see how much journalists have learned about the election of Pope Francis from several news sources. It seems that some Cardinals have broken their oath of secrecy — even revealing the number of votes the new pontiff received compared to other contenders.

Should we be reading these reports? It seems somewhat unsavoury to be consuming information that we are not supposed to know, and that can only be learned by a serious violation of a solemn oath.

Just remember not to believe everything you read.
