Remove this present danger, this gathering darkness

Most High God, let not hearts grow hardened, and bring us to pray always. Do not allow Your true delight to be displaced by drugs, entertainment, hypnotic music, loveless embraces, food, drink; or the allure of radical materialism that says we are only animals seeking sensory satiation. Let us deny ourselves in fasting. Let us bravely give when at risk of want. Make us meek and obedient for love of You, dearest Creator; and lavishly help us in banishing this present danger, this gathering darkness. Guide us to enjoy Your safety, Your light that destroys all doubt, fear and anger by turning to Your sure history of hope, by heeding every prompting from You to step out surely in faith, and by returning Your love in awe. AMEN & AMEN

Our Abba, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom, come. Thy will, be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. AMEN

Heavenly Father, help us all to amend our lives. Help us to turn to You, repent, and pray, pray, pray. Where we have offended You, help us to make reparation, change our ways, work to become saints, and help our fellow human beings to do the same. We ask this through Christ our Lord, amen.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray
And do Thou O prince of the heavenly host,
By the power of God, cast into hell Satan
And all the evil spirits who prowl about the world
Seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

[LEFT]Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Jesus, I trust in You!

Lord, may we live lives of faith, hope and charity in this present time of darkness. Give us the strength to carry our crosses patiently, courageously, and lovingly. May we be abandoned to your merciful love full of confidence in your merciful love. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.
