Role of the family... religious metaphor


Hi everyone,

Maybe you can help me. I remember reading this either on a website or perhaps blog. The idea that each member of the family takes on the role of the trinity. The father is like God, Mother is like Jesus, and the children are the holy spirit. I remember it explained this metaphor (or simile) rather well. Anyone else heard or read something like this?



I have heard of this before and as I understand it is described in detail in the book First Comes Love by Scott Hahn.

I have not read it yet but it is on my reading list. :thumbsup:
