Romano Guardini/Papa Francis

A good insight to Pope Francis thought can be found in Romano Guardini’s writings.

In his book “The Lord’s Prayer” it is easy to see the school from which Pope Francis derives his thinking about morality.Specifically the chapter “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive…”. It seems to me they are of the same mind. Some of the phrases are very similar.

Guardini’s writing is simple, profound, moving, and sharp as a knife. I think it could help clear up some of the confusion about Pope Francis, as his writing gets into the philosophy under Francis’ writings and speaking.
