Round 2 of ObamaCare enrollment to be delayed until after 2014 elections

The Obama administration plans to delay the start of next year’s ObamaCare enrollment period, a move pitched as a way to give consumers and insurance companies more time to study their options – but which also conveniently pushes the second round of enrollment past the 2014 midterm elections.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and a Department of Health and Human Services official confirmed the change on Friday. The decision does not affect those trying to enroll this year, despite the myriad problems with the launch of the law and Rather, it affects those who will sign up late next year for 2015 coverage.

The administration will allow consumers to start signing up on Nov. 15, 2014, as opposed to Oct. 15. Enrollment will last until Jan. 15, 2015, instead of Dec. 7.

How sleazy is that.

People are going to continue to receive cancellation letters in advance of the midterm elections.

What a disorganized mess.

Well just consider how long it’s taken to get this far Americans, stop your crying!!! And be thankful for the compassion shown the less fortunate. Peace, Carlan

You haven’t been paying attention, have you?

I’m pretty sure that was supposed to be sarcastic.

Regretfully the less fortunate are often falling through the Obama Care cracks as states refuse to expand Medicaid for fear of bankrupting their state.

Yea, look how long it has taken to get this far……… to realize “If you like your insurance you can keep it” Obama is a liar and 5 million insurance cancelations this year 100 million next year, the silly gubmint cannot make a web site work and the genius in chief has just figured out medical insurance is complicated. Best cancer treatment centers are not accepted by insurance providers from the exchanges nor children hospitals and for most people it won’t be long before they find out their doctors are not approved in the insurance network. So, our chief genius in charge is again acting more regal then George III, making law which isn’t how it is supposed to be done, last I looked that was the legislature job.
As Steyn put it …
the smartest president ever is not smart enough to ensure that his website works; he’s not smart enough to inquire of others as to whether his website works; he’s not smart enough to check that his website works before he goes out and tells people what a great website experience they’re in for. But he is smart enough to know that he’s not stupid enough to go around bragging about how well it works if he’d already been informed that it doesn’t work. So he’s smart enough to know that if he’d known what he didn’t know he’d know enough not to let it be known that he knew nothing. The country’s in the very best of hands.

There is no end to the hypocrisy of this administration. And yet, millions of voters actually will be tricked by this.:frowning:

In a democracy, you get the government you deserve.

Causing the top centers with the expertise for the toughest cases to be excluded seems a lot like a death panel to me.

Unless things change, the good ol’ USA is going to be a lot harsher to live in.

The Dems better hope that the employers don’t decide to notify their employees of dropped or huge increase in premiums a week or two before the elections.

Based on what I have been reading, businesses would prepare their 2015 budget in early fall or summer in 2014, so before the middterm elections businesses will have made decisions on what they are going to do in regards to health care for their employees.

Best or more expensive? Insurance companies don’t want you to get more expensive treatment than their actuaries have figured in the premiums. That should go without saying.

I don’t believe your rant of opinion and thank God most people don’t! Peace and love for all men.Carlan

Clever like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Most people rely on their own experience rather than Steyn’s opinion to make their own conclusions about how well that website is working.

As for Obama’s lies, they are no more opinion than the fact that the sky is blue is a lie.

Can you be specific as to what part don’t you believe?
