Hello! I just want to know about Protestant youth trying no to sing and/or listen to secular music, (the ones that “do not glorify the Lord and do not mention Him in its lyrics”). Examples of these are rock, pop, love songs, and others that aren’t really Christian in genre.
Some of them burn (literally) their CDs once they get their “baptism in the Spirit” and “accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour.”
Also, some Catholic Charismatic Communities are making this as a norm for their youth in order to minimize the effects of obscene and vulgar lyrics of the songs.
How does the Church view this? Any enlightenment? Thanks in advance…
