Should children be named Jesus?

I agree that Jesus is THE ideal model for all of us to immitate.

Jesus, was given as name as it was a name above all others.

For this reason, I have some reservations about someone naming their child Jesus. I realize that in Spainish speaking countries Jesús is a common name. I have never heard a complaint about that.

However, given is name is one above all others, I am wondering if it is wrong or disrespectful to give that name to your child.

In a similar question, what if I named my child God? I mean, Jesus IS God? I don’t want to confuse the issue, but I would also like some distinction. I do realize that there are 3 divine persons with one divine nature, and that is the Blessed Trinity, God.
