Some questions about the Cistercians of Common Observance and the Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

First, please pardon my awfull english. Non native speaker.

So, I was reading about how being invested with the Can someone who was invested Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel equals joining a Carmelite Third Order the other day.

As a kid, I was invested with such scapular thanks to my grandparents, but now, that I’m an adult, I feel a call towards the Cistercian Order of Common Observance and I have been considering joining as an oblate, so I was wondering, can someone invested with the Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel join the Cistercians of Common Observance?

Also, if someone has any information that they can share on the Cistercian order, that would be wonderfull!

Thank you all and God Bless!

Welcome! Your English is just fine!

Anybody can wear the Brown Scapular. should be the Cistercians of the Common Observance website.

And yes, the Brown Scapular can be worn by OCist oblates.

Thank you for your answer, Cloisters!
