I was wondering where I could find good quality information that refutes many Protestant’s claim that Catholicism teaches a works- salvation that cannot save?

The first step is to make them point out in the Catholic Catechism this so-called works salvation.

Then tell them that it is the Protestant anti-works salvation that cannot save. That should keep you going for a while. :slight_smile:

Really, unless they get more specific than “works salvation that cannot save” there’s not much to refute. Demand that they produce substance rather than slogans.

Go to the official source: the Council of Trent’s Declaration on Justification which was written specifically to address the errors of the Protestant Deformation and to clearly lay out what the Church actually taught on this subject, as opposed to the Deformers mischaracterization of it:
