Southern Gospel Favorites

Every Sunday here in Tulsa, my favorite radio station ( Classic Country) has a Southern Gospel show for a few hours. I love to listen to it, but if the lyrics get too funky from a Catholic perspective, I will change it. However, I love some of the songs on there and they have become favorites of mine. Some of my favorites are:

The Old Rugged Cross- Johnny Cash
Where You There- Johnny Cash
In The Garden- Loretta Lynn
On My Father’s Side- The Villiage Singers

Do you have any Southern Gospel favorites?

I am mainly familiar with the Gaithers…so my choices come from them.

Second Fiddle
Promise Coming Down that Dusty Road

I love Johnny Cash’s “Were You There” too.

I like “What a friend we have in Jesus” and Elvis’ “Precious Lord Take my Hand”
