St. Clare of Assisi / St. Teresa of Avila

Okay guys,

I have some saints in mind to make for my confirmation name. The title of the thread. Now, I’m having a heck of a hard time figuring out which one I should have? I’ve read a little about them but not too sure.

What do you guys think?

I took Joseph Thomas as my name, for Saint Joseph, Foster Father of Our Lord, and for Saints Thomas a Becket and Saint Thomas More. Why not Teresa Clare or Clare Teresa? As for advice, I was received into the Church by Carmelites, so I’ve a big afinity for the Carmelite saints. Those with a more Franiciscan bent are going to root for Saint Clare!

ST. CLARE! :stuck_out_tongue:

Saint Teresa of Avila. One of my Favorites.

The reason why I’m asking is because I find both saint’s lives very interesting…yet would like to follow in their footsteps so to speak.
