Anyone know where I can find medals on obscure saints? Saint Mary of Egypt is hard to find, and seems to be more affiliated with Orthodox Catholicism, though Roman Catholics have a feast day for her. I wasn’t ever a prostitute, but I was a great sinner and can identify with her pretty well. websites on custom medals would be fine too. Thanks!
St. Mary of Egypt is a very popular saint among the Orthodox faithful and is the perfect example of contrition and the forgiveness of God. Her feastday on the Orthodox calendar is April 1, so we commemorate her usually during Great Lent, a fitting time to consider repentance.
You can find icons and a few books about her in the Orthodox vendors on line; one that I have used is : http://www.easternchristiansupply.biz, and search for her name. As for medals, I go to : http://www.aquinasandmore.com/ for gifts for my Catholic family members, but I checked there and found only a book with St. Mary’s story, no medal. Another vendor is Holy Trinity and I found three icons there, at: http://www.holytrinitystore.com/st-mary-egypt-ir-268.html>, but again no medals.
Icons in general are more popular among Orthodox, rather than medals. BTW, a google search did not result in any medals. But good luck on your search, and bless you on your path to find God in your life. A person could hardly find a better saint to emulate than St. Mary!

Medals aren't popular among Eastern Christians and if the saint is a bit obscure in the West, then there won't be a medal for them. Why not get an icon?
Now if I could find an icon for Blessed Herman the cripple
Well I just couldn’t find anything… So I made one!!! I found a pic online that I liked, got some E6000 (craft glue) a bezel, and a glass dome and viola! A St. Mary of Egypt holy icon necklace! Now when I’m stressed or nervous or feeling tempted and start to fidget with my necklace, I can look down and be reminded that there was someone who was strong enough to rely on God for everything.
On the website linked by “hide the dog” above, there is a very nice St. Mary of Egypt icon pin for $5.00.
Your necklace sounds very nice, and it probably means a lot to you and is so personal to you because you made it yourself.
