St Max Kolbe Day: Conventual Franciscans

St. Maximilian Kolbe was a Polish Conventual Franciscan. He offered to die in place of a man with a family in a WWII concentration camp. St. Max was also a ham radio operator!

The Franciscans of the Immaculate have taken St. Max’s spirituality, but since they are under Vatican scrutiny right now, I didn’t know if I should post their link or not.

Here are the Conventual Franciscans of the St. Joseph of Cupertino Province here on the West Coast.

I don’t know what a ham radio is but it sounds delicious.

St Maximilian Kolbe is an inspiration. The compassion he must have had on that man when he took his place.
