Stage 3 CKD

I am diabetic, but my blood sugar AND my blood pressure have been under control for some time; in fact, both my diabetic meds AND my blood pressure medicines have been reduced.

However, I was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease. I have only 35% or so kidney function. While I’m doing all I can do with diet (in fact, I’ve been eating very little since so many things are loaded with sodium!), the name of the game presently is to postpone diallysis as long as possible.

The prospect scares me–most of all, the fear of the unknown.

Please pray for me.

You got a whole rosary coming your way!!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Many more where that one comes from!

I am praying for you. God bless you.

Lord, I life Basil up to You, and ask that You wrap Your healing arms around him, that he may be a witness to Your might. Calm his fears, Lord, and grant him Your peace.

Praying for you…

My prayers are with you.

Prayers for you :gopray2: - did you know St Benedict is a patron of those suffering from kidney ailments? A powerful intercessor indeed. Maybe get a St Benedict medal if you can

Lily–thank you for this information! St. Benedict is one of my favorite saints.

Your concerns are entirely understandable. Will keep you in daily prayer with St. Rita - patron of difficult causes…

Saint Aloysius, remember that as an active teenager you were struck with kidney disease, and how you were able to use your convalesecnce to develop your interior life. Please share that grace with Basil to allay his fears and grow in the Lord’s confidence.

Saint Margaret of Anitoch, protectress of nephrology, spiritually put your protective belt around Basil’s waist.

Dearest saints, pray with us unceasingly for Basil’s health and worries, and extend comfort to him and all who hold him dear. We pray with you to the Father through Christ our Lord, Amen.
