A study of 9,000 Europeans over 50 has found a link between religious participation and "sustained happiness."Researchers at the London School of Economics and Erasmus University …
We could have told them that without the study!
Seriously, I would be curious to know the demographics of the 9,000.
(especially the 50)
I don’t need a study for this. As a healthcare worker who deals primarily with sick elderly I am 100% convinced in this.
The ones who do the best are usually moderately to deeply religious in whatever belief system I might add. They participate in their treatment better, they are more compliant, they are more optimistic and can bear their illness better. They also get well sooner and are generally more content in their life regardless of how sick they are.
