Suggestions on solid books on the Dead Sea Scrolls?

The Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit is coming to my local museum soon. I am thinking about reading a book as background before seeing it. Perusing the books at the book store and on Amazon, there are a TON of books on the subject and I’m finding it hard to pick one.

Can anyone suggest a solid read, one that gives a thorough background on subject without getting into any anti-Catholic mularkey? When I started looking through Amazon, Dead Sea Scrolls Deception, by the authors of the infamous Holy Blood, Holy Grail, was one of the first books to come up. That’s the kind of foolishness I wish to avoid.
