Surgery on Monday 4/6 - Prayers appreciated

#1

I have posted here before regarding my sciatica problem that I have had since August, but became severe Thanksgiving weekend. I have been through two epidurals and several weeks of physical thereapy. After that wasn’t helping and actually giving me added pain, my family doctor sent me for an EMG and then to a spine specialist. Of course I had to wait several weeks to get in to see him. He however found the reason why I hadn’t improved. It turns out that a piece of one of the disks had broken off and was sitting on the sciatic nerve. I asked if this was unusual and he told me no, and that he did the surgery I will be having two or three times a week. I was really hoping that it wouldn’t come to surgery of course but at least this surgery is a more minor one as far as back surgeries go. They are making a two inch incision and removing the disk piece with a scope. Most likely I will go home the same day. I am glad that this will finally be taken care of, these last four months have been very trying with the pain and also the loss of income. I have appreciated your prayers in the past and would appreciate them again that this surgery will go well and I will be able to finally return to work. I work in a nursery school and have really missed the kids along with the 8th graders I watch at lunch time at our parish school. Thank you so much!

***The
Anima
Christi

Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from Christ’s side, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee
From the malicious enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come unto Thee
That I may praise Thee with Thy saints
and with Thy angels
Forever and ever
Amen ***
