Surgery

#1

I’m getting all of my wisdom teeth taken out tomorrow, and I’m pretty freaked out about it. From what the oral surgeon has told me, I’m only getting novocaine (no anesthesia or anything), and my fear of needles pales only next to my fear of surgical instruments. Especially near my face. I know, I’m a total wimp.
Anyway, I’d really appreciate your prayers.

Thank you. :o

You’re not a total wimp. If anyone posts to say they’d feel and differently under the circumstances I’d be most surprised! Mostly people I’ve known haven’t had as difficult a time as they feared with and following reoval of wisdom teeth.
I ask the Lord to give you calm and peace, and a restful sleep tonight.
I ask Him also to help you throughout,
and during your recovery time.
God bless you in all things throughout your life.

It’s not as bad as it seems. I had 3 of the 4 wisdom teeth taken out and trust me I HATE dentists!! The doctor probably won’t have any of the instruments in sight. Does he have anything like headphones to help relax? If not, just keep your eyes closed,it will be over before you know it. It will probably take longer to numb you than it will to pull. Of course also keep in mind all of your wisdom teeth are coming out at the same time and you will never have to do this again. Hopefully there will be someone at home to baby you for a day or 2 with popcicles and pudding. Do what the doctor says for post op care and thing should be just fine. Good luck!! :console: Ask St. Apollonia to guide the dentist, she is their patron saint.

Will keep you in my prayers.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and Blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Lord God, I pray that You would please bless this person, and free them of their anxiety for the dental procedure they face. May You speak to their hearts, and reassure them. Lord Jesus, You are in charge of all things, and we entrust our lives and well-being to You. Amen.

St. Apollonia, pray for us.
