Tarot Readers and Fortune Tellers cannot save you, says Pope Francis

**Salvation can only come through Jesus Christ, not through tarot readers and fortune tellers, Pope Francis has said.

Preaching at morning Mass at the Domus Sanctae Marthae in Rome today, Pope Francis said: “In order to solve their problems many people resort to fortune tellers and tarot cards. But only Jesus saves, and we must bear witness to this! He is the only one.”

“Mary always leads us to Jesus, as she did at Cana when she said: ‘Do whatever he tells you’. Let us trust in the name of Jesus, let us invoke the name of Jesus, and let the Holy Spirit push us to say this prayer trusting in the name of Jesus … it will do us all good.”

Pope Francis also told his congregation a story. He said: “A humble man works in the curia of Buenos Aires. He has worked there for 30 years, he is the father of eight children. Before he goes out, before going out to do the things that he must do, he always says: ‘Jesus!’ And I once asked him: ‘Why do you always say Jesus?’ ‘When I say Jesus ‘- this humble man told me – ‘I feel strong, I feel I can work, and I know that He is with me, that He keeps me safe’.”

Pope Francis continued: “This man never studied theology, he only has the grace of Baptism and the power of the Spirit. And this testimony, did me a lot of good too, because it reminds us that in this world that offers us so many saviours, it is only the name of Jesus that saves.”**

Awesome to the bolded. I would have loved if he also said (and perhaps he did, but it just wasn’t reported) that, not only do they not save, but that consulting these folks is a sin against the First Commandment.

Wow, good stuff

I’m so glad he is addressing this. There are so many catholics and christians in general that believe and spend money in these things. At best it’s a waste of their hard earned money and at worst it can lead you to the demonic yet many people think it harmless.

Between this tarot article and the one below, Pope Francis is on fire lately!

Blessed be God who pours out His Holy Spirit on His servants, and on Pope Francis.

I’ve known people who read the newspaper horoscopes but claim they just read them “for fun” and don’t really believe what they are reading, but tomorrow’s edition comes out and they are reading the horoscope for that day. (I don’t believe in luck, I believe in Jesus.:))

daily newspaper horoscopes aren’t even horoscopes just modern drivel. The Jesuits had it down to an actual science.
