I am not planning on getting any tatoos but what’s the church’s stance on that? Is it mutilation?

Answered here:

Leviticus 19:28 “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 6:19: “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”

Just somethings to consider.

Wow I was unaware of Lev 19:28. Looks like I don’t know the word like I should.

The Leviticus passage is part of the Old Covenant Law that no longer applies. It was to prevent people from getting tattoos of pagan gods and such. The Church is fine with tattoos.
