A “top dog” in the Evangelical community, Ted Haggard was an ardent antagonist of homosexuality. But it turns out that he was involved in homosexual activity himself and the Evangelical community wants to get rid of him. I just want to know how evangelical protestants feel about their leader.

I’d assume they feel the same way we feel when we hear about priests sexually abusing boys. I don’t think its possible for anyone to feel anything but sadness, and perhaps anger.
I also don’t think this is a situation we need to be using to sarcastically ridicule some Protestant beliefs.
