Fr. Valerio Sala has been a missionary in Mae Suay, on the border with Myanmar for six years. He cares for 29 villages that have no stable priest. From early December until January 2, he has visited 11 to celebrate the beginning of the Jubilee and Christmas. "It’s nice to see the tribal kissing the statue of the Child Jesus. Symbols are sacred to them and the Lord is present in that gesture. " Forgiveness and mercy of the Jubilee “are revolutionary concepts for the Akha.”
