That my Grandma would be saved

My grandma is in the hospice. She has suffered a massive stroke and her higher functions are gone. She choked on the food tube and Her kidneys have failed and according to the doctor we can’t introduce fluids. According to her will, she didn’t want life support if she fell into this state.
I keep worrying that I haven’t done enough to argue that my parents try to get the doctors to stabilize her and challenge her will. Every time I’ve talked to them, I feel like I have failed to really convince them of the moral issues, and while my Spiritual Director tells me I should pray for peace of mind, I have been hounded by this conviction that maybe I didn’t tell him enough of the situation, and that my Grandma is going to die because of what we did in not doing everything we could to introduce fluids. I felt like I was constantly looking for a way out of confronting my parents and pushing the issue, and now I am afraid it’s too late.
I wanted to ask for 2 things:
1. That my Grandma’s soul would be saved
2. That if there’s anything else I should do, that I receive the grace, courage, humility and charity to do it.
3. That I obey my spiritual director, and that God would grant me peace of mind if I am OCDing.

I have been reading the posts from this section and it seems that all posts are started by people who in my eyes are very holy… i wish I was as holy as they are.

Jesus, I offer this intention to Your most Sacred Heart

Our father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
Amen

Hail Mary full of grace
The Lord is with you
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus
Holy Mary mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and in the hour of our death
Amen.

Eternal Father in whom mercy is endless
And treasury of compassion inexhaustible
Look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us
so that in difficult moments
we may not despair
nor become despondent
but with great confidence
submit ourselves to Your holy will
Which is love and mercy itself.
Amen

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Bdonoho’s Grandmother. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Bdonoho’s Grandmother’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

praying for the salvation of your grandmother and for her physical comfort at this time.

HI
As a retired critical care RN, it looks like Jesus is calling your grandma home. Her wishes should be respected and she should have pain med and tranquilizers available in normal doses so she can be comfortable. Do not treat dropping blood pressures. Low B/Ps are part of dying. To us we are going home to Jesus and our relatives who have died before. It is a family reunion inheaven. We rejoice w God our Savior to graduate in glory. Dying in our sleep is what we all pray for. She should always be kept comfortable. With her diseases and complications, she is suffering. The Bible says to love her. It tells us to clothe the naked, feed the hungry, visit the sick and infirmed, and visit the imprisoned, give drink to the thirsty in His name. This is the things to do as ordinary care indying. EXTRAORDINARY METHODS ARE OXYGEN, IVS, VENTILATORS AND FEEDING TUBES. The church use to say the ordinary methods were all thar was needed for certain situations. TERMINAL CANCER ONE DOES NOT TRY TO BRING THEM BACK OR KEEP THEM ALIVE. SEVERE HEART AND LUNG CONDITIONS COME TO A TIME WHEN THE PTS ONLY WANT COMFORT MEASURES. In home w hospice is best but some families can’t do it.It looks like your family is strong enough for hospise. Oral fluids=1 crushed ice chip like spit as she tolerates it. Swab her mouth frequently w oral swabs w water on it. I’D GIVE A TSP OF WATER IN THE STRONG SIDE OF HER MOUTH. IF SHE SWALLOWS… GOOD. IF SHE ASPIRATES AND HAS A GOOD COUGH THAT CLEARS LUNGS OKAY. BUT NO IF SHE CHOKES ANG GURGLES. Get the priest for anointing of sick and keep her comfy.
MAY SHE FEEL THE LOVE OF GOD AROUND HER AND HIS ANGELS MINISTERING TO HER. Give the family wisdom, grace and peace. Eventually, your grandma is going home
in Christ’s love,
tweedlealice
I HOPE THIS HELPS. IF SHE IS KEPT ALIVE YOU ARE LOOKING AT WORSENING PNEUMONIA,BED SORES, CONTRACTURES. LOVE HER AND KEEP HER DIGNITY.
NAILPOLISH, HAIR COMBING, MAKE UP. WHATEVER SHE DID. AS AN OLD LADY AND GRANDMOTHER, I THANK YOU FOR LOVING YOUR GRANDMA SO MUCH. I HOPE MY FAMILY WILL BE ATTENTIVE. I AM THE OLD LADY MENTIONED.

Praying for your grandmother.

Amen.

Mary.

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen. †

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen. †

Jesus, Help Me

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust, saying,
Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations,
Jesus, help me!

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Jesus, help me!

When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Thy tender love as Father and Savior,
Jesus, help me!

When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Jesus, help me!

When sickness and loneliness overcome me,
Jesus, help me!

Always, in weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind,
Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, grant that I may always love You more.
Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of You.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Your Heart.

Amen. †

Prayers said. All will be well. Do not fear, the Lord is protecting you.
Do not be lonely, your guardian angel is beside you.
Be comforted, Mother will watch over you, and the
Holy Spirit will guide you.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †

Praying hard.

She passed away this morning. I was able to say the chaplet before she died.

May she rest in peace and I pray the angels of paradise welcome her home into the loving arms of our Savior.
