The biblical use of money

I’ve been reading what the bible says about $. After reading these passages, along with the catechism # 2401-2407, am I wrong to say that any use of money that is not directed toward achieving a relative, fair equallity with others is sinful?

Prv 23:4 -“Toil not to gain wealth, cease to be concerned about it”

Mt 19:23-24 + 29 “Then Jesus said to his disciples, `Truly I tell you, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold, and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.

Lk 3:10-11 “And the crowds asked him, What then should we do?' 11 In reply he said to them, Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.’”

Lk 6:20-26 “20 Then he looked up at his disciples and said: Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you will be filled. … 22 Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man. ...24 But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation. 25 Woe to you who are full now, for you will be hungry. ...26 Woe to you when all speak well of you, for that is what their ancestors did to the false prophets.”

Lk 12:32-34 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions, and give alms. Make purses for yourselves that do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Lk 14:33 “So therefore, none of you can become my disciple if you do not give up all your possessions.”

Lk 19:8-9 "Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, Look, half of my possessions, Lord, I will give to the poor; and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will pay back four times as much.' 9 Then Jesus said to him, Today salvation has come to this house, "

2 Cor 8:14 “but that as a matter of equality your abundance at the present time should supply their want, so that their abundance may supply your want, that there may be equality.”

1 Tm 6:7-10 “for we brought nothing into the world, so that we can take nothing out of it; 8 but if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these. 9 But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains”

Jas 5:1-6 “Come now, you rich people, weep and wail for the miseries that are coming to you. 2 Your riches have rotted, and your clothes are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver have rusted, and their rust will be evidence against you, and it will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure for the last days. 4 Listen! The wages of the labourers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts. 5 You have lived on the earth in luxury and in pleasure; you have fattened your hearts on a day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned and murdered the righteous one, who does not resist you”

1 Jn 3:17 “How does God’s love abide in anyone who has the world’s goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help?”

Rev 3:16+17 “So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 For you say, “I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing.” You do not realize that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.”
