The Book of Iudith?

The Book of Iudeth says that Nebuchadnezzar was King of Assyria, and that he ruled from Nineveh (which was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar’s father, if I remember correctly). How would you explain this to a protestant who insists this means that Iudith is “apocrypha”?
