There is an episode of the West Wing called Two Cathedrals. I know one is the Anglican Washington National Cathedral. Does anyone know what the other one refers to?
I understood it to be a metaphorical cathedral, where the president was bishop or pontiff or whatever. In other words, the cathedral of democracy, or the White House, or something along those lines.
Oh I see
Just popping in to concur with this one. Martin Sheen uses that metaphor a lot on the show, and I think the second cahtedral was indeed meant to be the White House.
