The Conversion of England

Please pray that England is once again a Roman Catholic country.

**
O Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God and our most gentle Queen and Mother look down in mercy upon England thy Dowry
and upon us all who greatly hope and trust in thee. By thee it was that Jesus our Saviour and our Hope was given unto the world
and He has given thee to us that we might hope still more.
Plead for us thy children whom thou did receive and accept at the foot of the cross O sorrowful Mother,
Intercede for our separated brethren that with us in the one true fold they may be united to the Chief Shepherd the Vicar of Thy Son.
Pray for us all dear mother that by faith, fruitful and good works we may all deserve to see and praise God
together with thee in our heavenly home. Amen.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to their assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

*Praying for the Scandinavian countries as well.

Lord: let it be that YOU again are a welcome guest in England. That you will be in people’s hearts and your holy name will roll off people’s tongues like that is the normal way of speaking about YOU in thanksgiving, praise and requesting help. Let your Church flourish for all of your children in England, not just a tiny few. Give a special blessing to those entrusted to keep Your light burning these days in England. Give them courage and wisdom and strength to live a holy and attractive life as a beacon of hope to others. We pray with great hope in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit! Amen.

I do pray for the conversion of England. Many of the greatest saints were English. What I find particularly encouraging though is that there is currently a renewal of the English Catholic Church.

[INDENT][INDENT]Prayer to the Blessed Mother for England

Composed by Pope Leo XIII

O blessed Virgin Mary,
Mother of God and our most gentle Queen and Mother,
look down in mercy upon England thy “Dowry”
and upon us all who greatly hope and trust in thee.
By thee it was that Jesus our Saviour
and our hope was given unto the world;
and He has given thee to us that we might hope still more.
Plead for us thy children,
whom thou didst receive and accept at the foot of the Cross,
O sorrowful Mother.
Intercede for our separated brethren,
that with us in the one true fold
they may be united to the supreme Shepherd,
the Vicar of thy Son.
Pray for us all, dear Mother,
that by faith fruitful in good works
we may all deserve to see and praise God,
together with thee, in our heavenly home.

Amen.

Pater noster, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum; adveniat regnum tuum; fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Amen.
