The Jewish connection

I am looking for a book or information in any form that does a good job of tying our faith to our Jewish roots. Do you know of anything that lays out the messianic prophecies and their fulfillments as well as the prophecies of the New Covenent and how the Old is fulfilled in Christ and the Catholic Church?

It is much more interesting tying our Jewish roots to Christianity.

The Old Testament is a vast collection of Christian foreshadowings. The evidence of this is decisive. Judaism is just a “form of Christianity.”

May I recommend a book written by an Orthodox Jew who converted to Christianity, Roy H. Schoeman. He has written a book titled, “Salvation is from the Jews” which addresses exactly your needs. It’s published by Ignatius Press.

God Bless,

You might try Oskar Skarsaune’s “In the Shadow of the Temple: Jewish Influences on Early Christianity.”

“Salvation is From the Jews” gets my vote as well. It’s great, and it goes further then you may be expecting. Can’t recommend it highly enough!
