The Lord eagerly desires to pour out His Mercy upon us!

#1
  1. **The flames of mercy are burning Me - clamouring to be spent; I want to keep pouring them out upon souls; souls just don’t want to believe in My goodness. **

  2. **My daughter, look into the abyss of My mercy and give praise and glory to this mercy of Mine. Do it in this way: Gather all sinners from the entire world and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy.

I want to give Myself to souls; I yearn for souls, My daughter. **

  1. Write this for many souls who are often worried because they do not have the material means with which to carry out an act of mercy. Yet spiritual mercy, which requires neither permissions or storehouses, is much more meritorious and is within the grasp of every soul. If a soul does not exercise mercy somehow or other, it will not obtain My mercy on the day of judgment. . Oh, if only souls knew how to gather eternal treasures for themselves, they would not be judged, for they would forestall My judgement with their mercy

  2. **And even if the sins of soul are as dark as night, when the sinner turns to My mercy he gives Me the greatest praise and is the glory of My Passion. **

  3. **I am Love and Mercy itself. There is no misery that could be a match for My mercy, neither will misery exhaust it, because as it is being granted - it increases. The soul that trusts in My mercy is most fortunate, because I myself take care of it. **

  4. Have confidence, My child. Do not lose heart in coming for pardon, for I am always ready to forgive you. As often as you beg for it, you glorify My mercy.

  5. Know, My daughter, that between Me and you there is a bottomless abyss, an abyss which separates the Creator from the creature. But this abyss is filled with My mercy.

  6. Let souls who are striving for perfection particularly adore My mercy, because the abundance of graces which I grant them flows from My mercy. I desire that these souls distinguish themselves by boundless trust in My mercy. I myself will attend to the sanctification of such souls. I will provide them with everything they will need to attain sanctity.

  7. When the clock struck twelve, my soul immersed itself more deeply in recollection, and I heard a voice in my soul: “Do not fear, My little child, you are not alone. Fight bravely, because My arm is supporting you; fight for the salvation of souls, exhorting them to trust in My mercy, as that is your task in this life and in the life to come.” After these words, I received a deeper understanding of divine mercy. Only that soul who wants [to be damned] will be damned, for God condemns no one.

  8. Today I heard the words: In the Old Covenant I sent prophets wielding thunderbolts to My people. Today I am sending you with My mercy to the people of the whole world. I do not want to punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to My merciful Heart. I use punishment when they themselves force Me to do so; My hand is reluctant to take hold of the sword of justice. Before the Day of Justice I am sending the Day of Mercy.

Divine Mercy in my Soul is such an incredibly beautiful testament to the endless mercy of our loving Lord. i have found much solace and comfort in its truths, and know that it will continue to give me much hope through my darkest times. all of the excerpts that you gave us display so beautifully the Mercy of Jesus, and gives me hope for my broken and/or non-Catholic friends who are in darkness, or simply haven’t been converted. i will continue to pray for them, trusting completely that Jesus will draw them to His Sacred Heart. thank you so much for sharing these beautiful excerpts, Eucharisted. St. Faustina’s diary is so beautiful and filled with so much hope, and i have truly loved reading it and learning from it. God bless you!

I posted this in the “Catholic News” subforum, but I didn’t want any of those who love the Divine Mercy Chaplet to miss it. I just wish the survivor would have mentioned it during some of his interviews. The “Vinny” he is writing to is the author of several Catholic CDs and books. Enjoy this powerful message of Divine Mercy.

Subject: Passenger of Flight 1549

Vinny,

I sincerely hope this email finds its way to you. I was a passenger on flight 1549 and my name is Fred Berretta. You might have caught a glimpse of me or heard me on CNN or Fox the night of the crash. I interviewed with Lou Dobbs, Wolf Blitzer and Bill O’Reilly and discussed the crash that night.

I had been on a one day business trip to NY and sat in seat 16A just behind the left engine. My trip was a last minute decision the day before. I finished my meetings early on Thursday and realized I had time to attend the 12 noon mass at St. Patrick Cathedral. It was unusual for me to have the extra time, but that day I did. After Mass, I stopped by the gift shop just across from the cathedral and purchased your book, “7 Secrets of the Eucharist.” As I waited to board flight 1549 bound for Charlotte, where I live, I began reading your book. I continued reading while we taxied until just after take off.

I think I got through about half of it and then decided to close my eyes and reflect on the incredible insights your book gave me regarding the Eucharist. We were climbing out and just a minute or so into the flight I heard the impact of the bird strikes and then the explosion in the left engine. I could see it on fire and the cabin began to smell like jet fuel. As a private pilot, once I realized the second engine was also not functioning, things became quite tense.

While I had known about and prayed the Divine Mercy chaplet years before, I had not really focused on it in quite a long time. Ironically, I had prayed the chaplet the day before at 3 pm. I had forgotten that in my briefcase I had long kept a copy of a booklet of the Divine Mercy chaplet which had excerpts from St. Faustina’s diary. When I arrived in NY, I had some time at my hotel and decided to clean out my briefcase, something long overdue. I found the Divine Mercy booklet, prayed the chaplet, and read some of the words of Jesus to Faustina.

Before we hit the water, I thought about the words Jesus said, that nothing would be refused if asked for during the hour of mercy.* I really thought there was a good chance myself and others would die that day, but I asked God to be merciful to us, I prayed the Lord’ prayer and a Hail Mary. I then prayed to St. Michael, and we impacted the water. The odds were not with us that day, but God clearly was. I believe it is the only jet airliner to successfully ditch in the water without fatalities in the history of aviation.

I just want you to know that your book gave me comfort as we were going down, and for that I am grateful. I know a lot of people prayed on that plane, and I believe the Miracle on the Hudson was a testament to the mercy of God, and a sign of hope.

Take care and may God continue to bless your ministry and all you do to spread the message of Divine Mercy and the wonders of Holy Communion.

Best regards,

Fred Berretta

*Flight 1549 crashed into the Hudson River during the 3 o’clock hour (at about 3:30 pm), which Christ told St. Faustina is “the hour of great mercy.” It was during this hour that His heart was pierced by a lance, and blood and water gushed forth as a fountain of mercy for the world. “In this hour,” He told her, “I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion.” (Diary of Saint Faustina, #1182, 1320.)

I love divine mercy. I especially like this part:

This is wonderful. First we strive, then we receive God’s mercy which sanctifies and perfects our efforts.

God bless,
Ut

xAllisonX,

I’m glad you’ve had such a good experience with Jesus. Some people just haven’t had that experience yet, even though they’ve prayed and tried to feel it. That may be why they don’t feel as strongly as you do.

Thx for that. I must read her diaries one day. I pray the chaplet but know little having not done the reading. It’s posts like this that inspire one to make the effort.
That’s a wondful story about the divine protection in the plane crash.
All I have read about divine mercy, which is little, seems to be in accord with my own belief/theory about our judgment.
When we die Jesus will look for every possible excuse for us desiring that no one perish, but if he cannot find sufficient reasons to excuse us we will be lost.
Does anyone know how Gods infinite mercy and infinite justice blend together in our judgment? That is hard to understand.
