The "must-know" before getting confirmed

What should someone know before getting confirmed…
like are their basics? the basics…
certain prayers… beliefs of the church… etc… etc…

Check with your parish DRE or your diocese’s Office of Religious Education. The diocese should have formal teaching goals set up of benchmarks that should be met for each grade level.

you must know enough to make an informed sincere profession of faith, to understand the nature and action of the sacrament of confirmation, and the meaning of Christian initiation, and know how to practice the faith and how to live the moral life and discipleship in Christ.
