In a world that’s becoming increasingly religious and de-secularised, diplomats, politicians and everyday people need to raise their ‘religious literacy’ if they are to understand the mindset of others, argues Dutch philosopher and World Vision consultant
What kind of world is that, where is it?
I agree, that is an unusual thesis, but perhaps the reason it seems so odd is as a result of our Eurocentrism. Western Europe and North America may be becoming more secular, but China, for example, is becoming far more religious. Perhaps, worldwide, the trend is for more religion rather than less.
