The Promise of Rosa Mystica for Dec.8

The Blessed virgin promised that whatever a person asked her for during this Hour of Grace (even in impossible cases) would be granted to them, if it was in accordance with the Will of the Eternal Father

My wish is that every year on the 8 December, at noon, an “Hour of Grace” will be installed. Many spiritual graces and physical blessings will be received by those who pray, undisturbed, during this hour. If the children cannot recite Psalm 51 between 12 noon and 1:00 p.m., say it in the evening as a family.

  1. Day and time of the Hour of Grace: December 8th, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, to be started at 12:00 noon and continuing until 1:00 p.m. for one full hour of prayer.

  2. During this hour, the person making the “Hour of Grace” either at home or at Church must put away all distractions (do not answer the phones or answer any doors or do anything but totally concentrate on your union with God during this special Hour of Grace) .

  3. Begin the Hour of Grace by praying 3 times the 51st Psalm with out-stretched arms. (Psalm 51 appears below)

  4. The rest of the Hour of Grace may be spent in silent communication with God meditating upon the Passion of Jesus, saying the Holy Rosary, praising God in your own way, or by using favorite prayers, singing hymns, meditating upon other psalms, etc.

Remember to pray for your country during this hour. The Blessed Virgin has requested that her important message be sent throughout the entire world. Please help her Mission: that all souls be drawn to GOD and that JESUS will be loved in every heart. This is the perpetual song of her heart. Let it also be ours.

According to the following post from another thread, it hasn’t been approved by the Church: Re: “Hour of Grace” & Pierina Gilli in Italy?

“Rosa Mysitca” is an approved title, but not an approved apparition. To wit:

Therefore, we are not ro promote this apparition .

all this is very confusing because, according to the seer, Blessed Mother ask that July 13 be celebrated as her feast day under title “Rosa Mystica”. So, it seems to me, that if our Church accepts the title then they would be accepting the apparition. The local bishop had approved them - ADAPTED FROM THE BOOKS, MARY THE MYSTICAL ROSE
and MARIA ROSA MYSTICA, Fr. A.M. Weigl. -

You are referred to the directory of Rosa Mystica for more of the story of the apparitions, which has the approval of the local bishop and was accepted by Ven. Pope Pius XII. Officially the Holy See has not pronounced on the supernatural nature of the apparitions, but has permitted the bishop’s approval to stand.

On August 9, 1951 Pope Pius XII granted a private audience to Pierina Gilli, the seer of Montichiari at Castel Gandolfo. She had arrived with a friend and the man who had arranged the audience. At the close of the meeting the Pontiff bent toward the kneeling seer and asked her to pray for him and the Pontiffs, saying: “Please, pray also for Us!”

Well, obviously, the most recent ruling stands - given the nature of alleged apparitions - those in the highest position have the final say - be it right or wrong - of course no one can prove for sure whether or not most apparitions are true or not - but it sure makes me wonder why they accepted the title “Mystica Rosa”.

The Church approved the title almost 400 years earlier in one of the six public litanies of the Church: The Litany of Loreto. This is quite a distinct circumstance from the title given by Our Lady at Lourdes.

I’ve read it. There are no current approvals by the local ordinary. In fact, the request of the local ordinary is that this devotion not be promulgated.
The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), supports the conclusion of the local ordinary. The dicastery is the mouthpiece of the Holy See for this in its position in the Roman Curia.
Kevin Symonds seems to give this topic a pretty fair treatment, based on what the local ordinary published starting with documents from 1968 ( “…it is readily apparent from consistent documentation that the Church has not accepted as worthy of belief the alleged “Rosa Mistica” apparitions to Pierina Gilli.”

The Pope is entitled to his own feelings, like anyone else, regarding Private Devotion. Please note that the investigations at that time ahd also not been concluded, and I believe that there were to be at least two more “cycles” of apparitions. Note, too, that asking someone to pray for you is not the same as declaring an apparition worthy of belief. Also, the pope usually defers, as a brother bishop, to the announcements of brother bishops regarding what goes on in their dioceses.

I would like to see any formal documentation that this apparition was ever considered worthy of belief.
I’ll also repeat that Mystical Rose was a title for several hundred years before this alleged apparition. Say, for example, there is a new alleged apparition wherein Mary refers to herself as “Ark of the Covenant.” That would not really be a new title for her, obviously. Say this new alleged apparition of Ark of the Covenant is repressed by the local ordinary. The title, however, is, and always will be approved.
