I’ve just caught wind of this really cool podcast entitled “The Septuagint Sessions.” As per the title, the podcast is devoted to the Septuagint and to related studies. I think anyone who’s interested in the LXX should check this out.
What really caught my ear is the sixth episode, “A Problem with the Apocrypha.” In this episode Timothy Michael Law (the guy behind the podcast) talks a bit about the Deuterocanonicals (specifically focusing on the rather confusing usage of the word ‘Apocrypha’, and how canonical biases can affect Septuagint studies.
Give it a listen. Any thoughts?
