The true Church of Christ

#1

there is one religion here in the philippines called “iglesia ni Cristo” or the Church of Christ. They said that their church is the one church that Jesus Christ made. They say that only their church is mentioned in the bible. They say that they are the church Jesus build but they didnt believe in the divinity of Jesus. They say that Jesus Christ is not God but a Man. They dont want to accept the divinity of Jesus Christ. Are they worthy to be called Church of Christ if on the first place they do not believe in the divinity of Jesus?

That is just a re-hash of the Arian heresy.

You took the words out of my mouth Mickey. Arianism pure and simple.

"They say that they are the church Jesus build…"
OK, then where have they been for the last 2000 years?

"They say that only their church is mentioned in the bible."
But where is it mentioned in the history books?

John 1 says “all things were made through him, and nothing that was made was made without him.”

If Jesus was just a man, then this verse is completely false because if he was a man, then he would have been created. How could he be created, but at the same time “nothing that was made was made without him”?

Catholic Answers has an informative tract on this group.

When I have heard representatives of this group speak or read their literature, they strike me as rather buffoonish. Really, if your best argument is that you are the church Christ started because your name is “Church of Christ” how easily duped can the people be who fall for this foolishness? :whacky:

Manalo is the Philippines’ version of Martin Luther. The Iglesia is actually another Protestantism + Arianism. Manalo’s soul has been burning in hell since the day he died. His church is not worthy to be called the church of Christ because it was founded a thousand nine hundred years late.
