These prayer warriors are a joke!

I can understand your frustration. I can understand your harshness. And I can see your point.

For myself as a prayer warrior, I try to post prayers to the threads that have hardly anyone praying, and will go back to page 2 or 3, and/or see who has posted prayer intentions within the past 24 hours (that’s when I’m keeping up with the forums on a daily basis).

Sometimes I post a simple Hail Mary. Not too glamorous, and may not make me very popular with those who are more eloquent at expressing feelings. That said, I believe Mary is a good intercessor, and I do say the Hail Mary every time I copy and paste it. In fact, since I sometimes battle scrupulosity and distraction at prayer, I sometimes have to repeat the Hail Mary two or three times, and then try to get through the Sign of the Cross without getting hung up on the fact that as a mere human, I can’t fully understand the mystery of the Holy Trinity! :o

Sometimes I post a psalm or another prayer from the day’s Liturgy of the Hours, trying to fit the prayer to the person’s intention and hoping for guidance from the Holy Spirit. Why do some people get a Hail Mary and others get a personalized psalm? Who can say, but I try to pray for each intention as best I can, and for each one I intend that the Lord bless the person asking for prayer.

I will have to look up your posts, see what prayer threads you may have started, and will be sure to pray for you.

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry, turn your ear to my prayer, no deceit is on my lips. Amen

For your intentions

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of Hell; lead all souls into Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for help. Amen

“If God brings it to you- God will bring you through it.”

For your needs and family…

Hail! Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our Life, our sweetness and our
hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished
children of Eve. To thee do we send up
our sighs, mourning and weeping in this
valley of tears. Turn then , O most gracious
advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards
us; and after this, our exile, show
unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb,
Jesus. O clement! O loving! O sweet
Virgin Mary!
Pray for us , O holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy
of the promises of Christ.

One of the below posts is a case in point.

A 47 second prayer at minimum, and that is really racing through it, posted more than 5 times in two minutes.

I don’t know why someone would do that. But it looks like some, just cut and paste and don’t pray.

Of course a thread like this might make some slow down, and some won’t even know about it, because all they did was click on the thread, paste a prayer and move on.

For those who are unaware. Please see the sticky posted above on how to post in prayer intentions forums.
