Thinking about becoming a U.S. Recon Marine

#1

Sorry if this is in the wrong place; not really sure where else it could go.
Anyways, for quite a while now, I’ve been heavily considering joining the United States Marine Corps when I graduate from high school next year. For a while there, I wasn’t sure what my MOS was going to be, but after a while I think I’ve settled on going 0321 and eventually becoming a Force Reconnaissance Marine. I know some posters on here are former Marines or former military; I was kind of hoping someone out there could give me some advice about being Recon or just joining the military in general. I’d especially appreciate it if someone could talk about what sort of things I’d have to do to become specifically a Force Recon Marine (for example, I understand that I’d have to get certified as an 0326, but what’s the timeline on that? Is there an 0326 course right after the 0321 course?)
A bit of background: I’m 16 years old and female. I had always planned to go to college and become a physicist, but for a few years now, I’ve been thinking physics (and perhaps college in general) might not be for me and I’ve sort of silently been keeping my eyes open for anything else that might interest me. Eventually, I discovered the Marine Corps and found out that a lot of what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be might be achieved if I became a Marine.
Keep in mind that I’m still not 100% sure about going Recon or even enlisting in the first place, which is why I’m asking for some advice. Thanks in advance for any help you all can provide.
