To Help Me

#1

I’m alone, and have been aided by a friend who rented upstairs for a couple of years now. Today, that friend - who’s controlling and insistent on their way - has announced they will move unless I agree to do things their way. Well-intentioned … BUT. I can’t be alone…emotionally or financially, I’m in very serious trouble. Please pray that this friend will not leave but rather stay and help in a Christian manner - not a dictatorial one. Pray God, that I don’t end up alone. Please.

Dear Jesus please console ConservativeOne and bring peace into he/r life.

Our Father who art in heaven hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth
as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those
who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou
amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary,
Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it
was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against
the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into
hell Satan, and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world seeking
the ruin of souls. Amen

I remember that you are alone, and that things are very difficult, from threads of months ago. I’m unhappy to hear that you are being blackmailed by your circumstances.

Jesus I know it’s difficult for people to change their natures, but they can choose to modify them. I implore You to get across to this friend that they are trampling on friendship and love by trying to force their will upon a person who isn’t in a position to insist on freedom to do what is right for himself. It isn’t love and it isn’t friendship than that.

Please let this friend take these words into their soula and mind and behaviour“Love each other as brothers should, and have a profound respect for each other…If any of the saints are in need you must share with them; and you must make hospitality your special care.” [Romans 12:9-13]

Please grant that the cry of our lonely friend is answered by Your merciful intervention.

“The man who with his whole heart serves God will be accepted, his petitions carry to the clouds. The humble man’s prayer pierces the clouds, until it arrives he is inconsolable, nor will he desist until the Most High takes notice of him, acquits the virtuous and delivers judgement. And the Lord will not…be dilatory on their behalf (and will) make them rejoice in His mercy. Mercy is welcome in time of trouble, like rain clouds in time of drought.” [Ecclesiasticus 35:16-19, 23-24]

Please keep praying, dear friends. My friend has retreated to their apartment - refusing to speak to me at all. No contact. I’m sort of sinking into a depression over this. The silence, the loneliness after this friend insisted for months on helping me, constantly. What do I ask for? How do I go on without caving? Forgive me for being annoying - there are so many serious issues to pray for that I feel selfish and silly. But I ask God to bless you for your prayers. I don’t know what a “solution” is anymore. I do believe my friend needs help, too, since they back all defenses/arguments up with the Bible (some that don’t apply in this case)…I’m emotionally spent and even have to be afraid to cry lest they complain of hearing me.

Praying from today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 35 (36)
O God, in your light we shall see true light.

Evil whispers to the sinner in the depths of his heart:
the fear of God does not stand before his eyes.

Evil’s flattering light disguises his wickedness,
so that he does not hate it.
His words are false and deceitful,
he no longer considers how to do good.
Even when in bed he plots mischief;
he follows the wrong path; he does not hate malice.

Lord, your mercy fills the heavens,
your faithfulness rises to the sky.
Your justice is like the mountains of God,
your judgements are like the deeps of the sea.
Lord, you protect both men and beasts.

How precious is your kindness, O God!
The sons of men will take shelter under your wings;
they will eat their fill from the riches of your house,
drink all they want from the stream of your joy.
For with you is the spring of life-giving water,
in your light we see true light.

Hold out your mercy to those who know you,
offer your justice to the upright in heart.
Let me not be crushed under the heels of the proud,
nor dispossessed by the hands of sinners.
The doers of evil have fallen where they stood,
they are cast down and cannot rise.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

O God, in your light we shall see true light.

You and your friend are surely in my prayers.

To Jesus, Our Friend
St. Claude de la Colombière

O Jesus! Thou art my true Friend, my only Friend. Thou doth take a part in all my misfortunes; Thou doth take them on Thyself; thou doth know how to change them into blessings. Thou doth listen to me with the greatest kindness when I relate my troubles to Thee, and thou hast always balm to pour on my wounds. I find Thee at all times; I find Thee everywhere; Thou never goest away; if I have to change my dwelling, I find Thee wherever I go.

Thou art never weary of listening to me; Thou art never tired of doing me good. I am certain of being beloved by Thee if I love Thee; my goods are nothing to Thee and by bestowing Thine on me, Thou never growest poor. However miserable I may be, no one more noble or learned or even holier can come between Thee and me, and deprive me of Thy friendship; and death which tears us away from all other friends, will unite me for ever to Thee.

All the humiliations attached to old age or to the loss of honor, will never detach Thee from me. On the contrary, I shall never enjoy Thee more fully, and Thou will never be closer to me than when everything seems to conspire against me, to overwhelm me and to cast me down. Thou doth bear with all my faults with extreme patience.

Even my want of fidelity and my ingratitude do not wound Thee to such a degree as to make Thee unwilling to receive me back when I return to Thee.

O Jesus! Grant that I may die praising Thee, that I may die loving Thee, that I may die for the love of Thee. Amen.

Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust, saying,
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations,
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Thy tender love as Father and Savior,
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Jesus, help me!
When sickness and loneliness overcome me,
Jesus, help me!
Always, in weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind,
Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

God Bless
